Epson 2450 negative scanner (normal scanning, too) - $40 in Guelph, Ontario for sale

I'm selling a lightly used Epson 2450 flatbed scanner. It's great for normal scans, but it shines with scanning in negatives.

- 2400 x 4800 optical resolution, more with interpolation
- 48 bit
- USB 1.1/2.0 and Firewire connections.
- Can scan in 35mm film strips, slides, other negatives (4x5, 120/220) up to 4"x9" size.
- Included: USB cable, negative holders, installation CD and manual.

There is a transparency unit built into the cover, and several holders are used to hold your negatives while scanning. This would be great for someone who wants to scan and archive old family photos using the negatives. Of course, you can scan in the prints themselves as well.

The scan quality is fantastic and I used it mostly for scanning a bunch of negatives years ago, but have no more use of it since I don't have any more negatives to scan in and use my laser printer/scanner for everyday scanning.

I'm including the original installation CD that comes with drivers and Silverfast SE. However, these are old and might not work with your current OS. You can download drivers and manuals from Epson's website (up to and including Windows 7 32 bit). And this website says that using the drivers and software for the Epson 4990 works for Windows 7 64 bit as well as Windows 8 (read the comments):

Note that it originally came with a copy of Photoshop Elements, but I can't find it (and it was an old version by current standards, anyway) so it's not included.
